UNFAIR CONTRACT LAW IN AUSTRALIA TO HIT BUSINESS FROM NOVEMBER
Procurement Australia is presenting with Scott Alden.
If you are in business and engage in contracts of any kind, including agreements, leases, finance documents, licences etc then your biggest business risk for 2016 is that from 12 November any unfair term in one of those contracts will be rendered void or voidable if it is with a small business.
This seminar, expertly presented by Scott Alden (Partner, Projects and Infrastructure) will guide you through these important changes to the legal landscape in Australia governing standard commercial contracts involving at least one small business. Find out what is a small business, what is a small business standard form contract, the clauses susceptible to being void, potential additional penalties, ways to manage and mitigate risk and essential advice for the lead up to the law changes.
